Luxury House Plans

There are houses, there are good houses and then there are luxury houses. A luxury house is what you'd aspire for if you want your house to reflect your exquisiteness in taste and comfort and when you want everything more than the average, larger than life. Luxury house plans are meant to be elaborate and cover various aspects of the connoisseur whether its entertainment, a personal swimming pool, a gym, a library, a music or recital room, a mini theatre etc.

Anything that money can buy or anything that suits your fancy. If you are used living in expensive hotels around the world, prefer traveling first class or have vacations spent in French chalets with your own butler a luxury house plan is just for you. Of course luxury house is all that money can buy provided you have lots of money stacked up to fulfill the desire. A luxury house is defined as a house whose square footage exceeds 2500 sq. ft. Luxury houses could be a sprawling mansion with 2 or more floors or could be a large single level house, depending on your tastes or even the general design plan popularity of the area.

Luxury homes are not commonly styled particularly for the simple reason that someone who can afford a luxury home also employs the services of a designer or house consultant to tailor the house giving it a personal or customized look. Luxury house plans accommodate large windows and a grand foyer some which mimic the Roman architecture of pillars at the entrance to give it a sense of royalty and grandeur. Luxury home plans are also known for their high ceiling especially raised at the center in houses with a dome to accommodate a chandelier. Of course it goes without saying that Luxury house plans must have gourmet kitchens wide enough to have a couple island workstations and a large chimney.

The owner of the house would opt for a luxurious bathroom attached to his grand bedroom with a view overlooking the most scenic part. It also goes without saying that luxury house plans also accommodate large garages usually two to serve the many cars or vehicles the owner may possess.  Luxury houses commonly have these features which are unique to it. Separate servants quarter, a butler's pantry, every room is touched with extravagance whether it’s the material (granite or Italian marble), available in most types of exterior finish. Again different regions have their own definition of luxury houses. So you could choose from
Old World Mediterranean, to Modern Spanish, classic historical to elegant contemporary designs.
