Now why IQ? Well cheerleading is about good mental co-ordination when performing those complex cheerleading stunts and a cheerleader without that is likely to forget the sequence of events. Also cheerleading requires a lot of practice for the stunts which means hours away from classroom sessions and without a good IQ your grades will only fall and you won't be able to catch up.
As for the types and varieties of cheerleading stunts, they have been improved, refined over the years and there are some common cheerleading stunts that are followed across the country. For instance in the Laying hitch stunt there are 8 in total which includes 2 flyers, 5 bases and 1 backspot. In the Hitch wall stunt there are 15 people who includes 4 flyers, 7 bases and 4 backspots. In the Levels stunt there are 18 people who includes 5 flyers, 8 bases and 5 backspots.
